New data from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) found that almost 700,000 families took advantage of the Inflation Reduction Act’s (IRA’s) 25C tax credit to insulate and air seal their home last year. The IRA tax credit can help offset initial costs of installing spray foam insulation, up to $1,200 available annually.
In total, more than 3.4 million American families have already claimed more than $8 billion in residential clean energy and home energy efficiency credits. Provisions in IRA extended and expanded tax credits to help households invest in energy efficient home upgrades, such as spray foam insulation.
Consumers looking to increase their home’s resiliency, reduce their energy usage, and save money should look to spray foam insulation to strengthen their home’s building envelope.
